Overview

The AV/IT project spanned diverse spaces within a 15-floor building, encompassing an auditorium, control rooms, offices, multi-function rooms, lift lobbies, a security control room, reception areas, meeting rooms, rack rooms, and seminar rooms. Design coordination, clash detection meetings, and internal discussions with the client played pivotal roles in navigating the project's complexity. With fortnightly model releases, the team adeptly addressed challenges associated with various room types and unique spaces, fostering transparent communication through Teams chats, live model sharing, and leveraging elevation and section views, as well as 3D and isometric views.

Challenges and Successes

Overcoming challenges in the AV/IT project required innovative solutions in each area. In the auditorium, a robust framework was devised for the expansive LED display curved screen wall, accompanied by the development of a bespoke family capable of tessellating in three axes, ensuring a seamless integration. The control room, featuring unique equipment, saw the creation of a specialized family designed for both screens and desk clamps, addressing the distinct requirements of the space. Meeting rooms, varying in size, presented a challenge met through tailored arrangements, emphasizing adaptability to different spatial configurations. The consideration of the project's overall scale played a crucial role in navigating and overcoming these challenges, highlighting the importance of a comprehensive and flexible approach to ensure success.
